About homework:

In this program, we'll spend Thursdays exploring different parts of the city together, and during the week we'll be spending some time looking at our own neighborhoods, since these are places we know best and can get to most easily. So in this case "homework," doesn't just mean work you do at home, but rather exercises that we'll do about our homes and the neighborhoods in which it they are located. Over the next few weeks, these exercises will help us create small portraits of our neighborhood through writing, drawing, photography, and maps so that we can get to know where we live a little better.
